As I type this, I am sitting in my dining room. The dining room has temporarily become our office as we had to clear everything out of our true office, just off the kitchen, in preparation for the day that someone comes to cut open the ceiling and assess/fix the water damage done when the tree fell on our roof … last June!
Boo-hoo.
Anyway, now that it’s all cleared out, I have been daydreaming about what I’d like the room to eventually look like. I’ve saved lots of inspiration photos that I thought I’d share with you here …
First step will be to create built-in desks and cabinetry …

I really like the library room with the ladder! Despite having a home office, the family room love seat is my working spot of choice:-)
Food might be prepared here, with guests conversing using the host ahead of and immediately after meals, when the sink may also serve as a bar sink for the serving of cocktails.
