West Elm Souk Rug |
You can get an 8×10 for $899. I like the graphic punch it adds while still being a neutral that could work in a variety of color schemes. West Elm has a bunch of new rugs for spring … check ’em out and have a great weekend!

This Friday I thought I’d share a few favorite things I’ve come across this week, including a little emptying out my iPhone photos.
I spotted these colorful handmade quilts at West Elm … each one is completely unique.
Do you remember this post about one of my favorite wallpapers by Katie Ridder?
hand blocked leaf pillow cover |
It’s part of their new fall line of accessories and the lacy metallic leaf pattern is done by hand. Quite an inexpensive way to get your “leaf” fix, if you have one … like me.
A few other new arrivals in their store caught my eye …
I’d like three of these, in a horizontal row or stacked vertically.

Love the texture of these frames and they would be great to lighten up a dark bookshelf …

Even though West Elm has very modern furniture, I think that many of their things can work seamlessly with almost any style of decor. Be sure to check ’em out.
Have a good week!
I’m always on the lookout for brightly colored trays for that little pop they can bring to a room …
I like to keep a tray on both my kitchen and dining room tables and change out what’s on them … fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, candles, a stack of decorative dishes, vintage tins, or seasonal items. The tables just seem bare with out them.
This tray and its contents always seem to brighten up a dark table …
Of course, a tray on an ottoman is nothng new … everyone needs a place to set their drinks. But with little kids, I’m still a little nervous to keep too much else on the tray for daily life … so I found a pretty tray that looks great even when empty.
Here are a few other favorite trays I’ve spotted lately …
Bold colors paired with a rustic element … these are between 70 and 80 years old and no two are alike:

These simple lacquer trays can work well with almost any style of decor … just pick your color.
West Elm |
Faux croc ad nailhead trim … I love the little details on this one.
