Friday Foursome – Indigo Edition

Welcome to this week’s Friday Foursome, where I share a few of the things that made me swoon over the past week. This week everything I’m loving has one thing in common.

A fun DIY tutorial for block-printed fabric.

I love everything about this gorgeous outdoor space, especially the tile wall and those indigo batik pillows. You can have your own made using this fabric.

And speaking of tile – I’m in love with this gorgeous terracotta tile.

I really really really want one of these framed textiles for my house.

Move over wallpaper …

If you’re the type of person who has ever scoured through countless wallpaper books only to come away feeling like you just didn’t find quite what you were looking for … then this post is for you!

It might be time to do a custom wall treatment with the very talented Adela! Adela Vystejnova emigrated from the Czech Republic and trained at the prestigious art school SSUR. She has exhibited in North America and Europe.

I had the pleasure of looking through Adela’s gorgeous portfolio this week and I couldn’t contain my excitement over the possibilities.

She does everything by hand and can create custom treatments based on your own color and pattern preferences. Need a little less gold … a little more gray? No problem. Want to swap a pattern onto a different backgrounds. Done!

Here are a few of my favorites …

This one mimics the look of cement … a perfect way to add a little industrial vibe.

Each one is prettier than the next! And durable too! Each treatment is washable, and won’t crack over time. Welcome to this week’s Friday Foursome, where I share a few of the things that made me swoon over the past week.

I’m always excited to come across a new wallpaper brand – and I love the charming prints created by artist Marthe Armitage in her English studio.

The best part – she is 86!

There are so many unique and whimsical patterns. But even if you can’t find the right space to use her wallpaper -you can get a little sample by purchasing one of the Jo Malone products she collaborated on.

How sweet is this packaging? Mother’s Day gift idea?

It seems that everything Joanna Gaines touches turns to gold lately, doesn’t it? I’m sure that’s going to be the case with her new line of Loloi rugs.

And speaking of Fixer-Upper’s – no this is not a European villa – it is Gwyneth Paltrow’s new “fixer-upper” in Santa Barbara, CA.

I’ve clearly got textiles on the brain today – loving this sneak peek Rebecca Atwood shared on Instagram of her new line of hand-dyed one-of-a-kind quilts!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful Mom’s out there! Excited to spend the day with my Mom and Sis today visiting all our favorite shops in Geneva … with lunch at Bien Trucha – of course!
