Great. Just great. What are these people doing to us? By people, I mean, the creators of websites like Pinterest and now, Olioboard. How is a mom supposed cook meals for her family, do laundry, help with homework or get a good night’s sleep with all of this addictive eye-candy just waiting for us 24/7 out in cyberspace? Seriously.
When Nate Berkus did a whole segment on Olioboard on his show today, my heart both fluttered with excitement and sank at the same time. I knew I would be sneaking away to check it the first chance I got.
An hour later … I guess you could say I was hooked.
At Olioboard.com you can create moodboards using real products from great brands and stores like Burke Decor, CB2, Chiasso, Crate&Barrel, Dwell, Home Decorators Collection, inhabit. Layla Grayce, Lumens Light & Living, Ralph Lauren, Target, The Land of Nod, Urban Outfitters, Velocity Art And Design, West Elm, Zinc Door and much more. It’s ridiculously fun.
I have always done this manually using Photoshop for my clients and myself … this makes things sooo much easier! And you can add in things you come across from other stores across the web.
Moodboards or inspiration boards are so useful when wanting to give a room or space a new look. It really helps to see how everything will look together.
On the homepage are a variety of moodboards that other members have created. It’s kind of fun to look through those before diving into your own.
