While in the city this past weekend, I stopped briefly in the new(ish) West Elm on North Avenue. While I spent the first few minutes marveling at the fact that this same space used to be the Whole Foods I shopped at, I was then struck by this creative use of a big blank wall.
Of course, reclaimed wood seems to be all the rage these days, especially in furniture, but I thought this was a unique twist on a traditional gallery wall of photos. What a great way to add texture and architectural interest. And how easy would that be to do? I especially love it against that dark gray wall.
In another part of the store I spotted these swoon worthy old barn doors …
Besides the color, I would love these sliding open as an entryway to a dining room or home office.
Or maybe even a bathroom!
What do you think? Hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather … yet another reason why it has been a tad hard to sit down at the computer lately! Have a great week!
