Sometimes I like to just dig around in my boxes of swatches. It makes me happy.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day with my little man Kyle at the Art Institute.

While there are so many sources of inspiration there, one of the exhibits we checked out was of vintage kimonos. The fabrics took my breath away …
First up was what you typically expect when you think of kimonos …
But as we moved through the room they just kept getting more beautiful and I was struck by just how modern some of the prints were … these women were way ahead of their time!
Wouldn’t this make fabulous curtain panels?
Can you even imagine the price per yard?
